Who would’ve thought that the statement made by old Ben Kenobi, in Star Wars: A New Hope regarding “the clone wars”, would mean so much to the future of the franchise?  An army of clones now led by the Jedi wages a war on behalf of the Old Republic against Separatist forces.  Viewers are introduced to a more civilized Sith Lord by the name of Count Dooku (AKA Darth Tyrannus).  Count Dooku carries himself so much differently than that of the menacing Darth Maul.  Some critics would refer to this film as The Empire Strikes Back of its time.  The Star Wars fans’ dream come true occurs when Yoda draws his lightsaber for the first time in this film.  Yoda is truly the real Jedi Master that fans hoped he would be.  Fans were also treated to the blossoming relationship that results in a private ceremony between Anakin and Padme which further leaves fans wondering what will cause Anakin to go to the Dark Side.

Archive Note: I personally feel the only saving grace for this movie is really the fight scene with Yoda. While I see the need to show Anakin and Padme falling in love, the cheesy lines make it hard for me to watch this one. Though I suppose I can't complain too much since we wouldn't have the Republic Commando series with out this movie introducing the clones.
